
Double Eccentric Flange Butterfly Valve
The sealing of these valves occurs between the body and the elastic ring surrounding the disc. These valves feature extremely low torque and are 100% tightly shut off in the preferred flow direction and can operate at higher pressures than concentric valves. The pressure drop with the disc in the fully open position is minimal due to the two-piece shaft. These valves are self-cleaning, easy to maintain, and simple for assembly and disassembly. These valves are utilized in multiple applications, being particularly suitable for water (drinking water, desalination plants, cooling systems for power generation, waste water, etc.).
Description
Double eccentric butterfly valves are commonly used in underground water supply systems as a more cost-effective alternative to gate valves. When installed below ground, they require a shallower burial depth, and they are typically more affordable, particularly in larger sizes, compared to gate valves. They can also be used in above-ground installations.

- Special Shaft Sealing Arrangement: This sealing arrangement ensures zero fugitive emissions and allows for the field replacement of shaft sealing elements, ensuring long-term performance and minimal environmental impact.
- Field-Replaceable Seat on the Disc: The seat on the disc is fully replaceable in the field, ensuring optimal seating and reseating torque for a reliable seal throughout the valve's life.
- Versatile Seat Material Options: A variety of seat materials are available, making the valve suitable for both gas and liquid services across a wide range of applications.
